“Male Form Factor Robots”

“Introducing: robots that clean for you! They can take the trash out, they can cook for you, they can even conversate with you! Only $699.69!” The TV turns off and Greg orders the robot for his family, tired of taking the trash out. The robot comes in the mail, it’s a male form factor robot…

“Introducing: robots that clean for you! They can take the trash out, they can cook for you, they can even conversate with you! Only $699.69!” The TV turns off and Greg orders the robot for his family, tired of taking the trash out.

The robot comes in the mail, it’s a male form factor robot that’s white with black trim. Sasha personally was glad it was a male looking robot so her husband doesn’t cheat on her with it. The last thing she wanted was to be replaced by a robot.

Things were great at first; the robot cleaned and cooked and did the chores. But Greg seemed to be using the conversation feature a lot. “Hey, you know, you could talk to me about your day, too.” Sasha said, maybe starting to get jealous.

“But you’re always dismissive of me. Just think of it as something the robot is doing for us.” Greg thought this was an improvement to his relationship with his wife, but she didn’t agree. Sure she had anger issues, but she was human!

Sasha gets off of work one day and comes home to neither her husband nor the robot in the living room where they usually are. She sets her keys and bag down and goes to the bedroom where she sees Greg nakid in bed next to the robot. “Greg! You’re gay?!”

He flusters: “I can explain! I’m actually bisexual, this robot is hot.” Feeling replaced and useless, Sasha attempts suicide, only to fail and have the robot call 911 on her. Her husband didn’t even notice.

In the mental hospital she faces the most 1984 ending she can imagine: being replaced by a robot, who is probably sleeping with her husband and filling the family role without her. She didn’t want to go back home.

Sasha tells the hospital she’s homeless and gets put in a Independent Living Facility in Miami where she meets some pretty shitty people, but at least they were human.

As for Greg, he ends up going completely psychotic losing touch with reality as his existence becomes being gay for the male form factor robot. And they all lived miserable ever after.
