I got a scholarship to whatever college I wanted paid 100%, I could have picked doctor college and been a pharmacist, or a neuroscientist, but I qualified for the scholarship due to disability. A disability that made those careers impractical, and thank gods I didn’t attempt, because physical disability later in life would have ended that as well.

The scholarship is generally for disabled people who have potential, but I chose to skip the waiting list at art vocational college and do an art apprenticeship. I took a nutrition class at Florida Atlantic University because it was free and they gave free veggies at the end of the class, but a lot of that info is out of date by now. Like can we all agree milk isn’t necessary every single day and that’s just lobbying by milk farmers to sell more milk?

My art apprenticeship overlapped my vocational college a bit, so i wasn’t exactly in college for 8 years, i just count 4 and 4 separately because they were entirely different programs. Like I don’t count my FAU degree for anything besides my own education. I also took a few free Udemy classes. I was failing Italian Opera so badly my teacher said “You grasp this concept so little by the end of the first act of The Marriage of Figaro, even if you get 100% on the rest of your assignments, i’ll still fail you.” Music theory i got 100% in. There’s art of my cool music teacher in some internet archive somewhere, but I didn’t specialize in drawing in art school. In fact I chose things that required less dexterity like Doodle and resin and duct tape.
