Describe a man who has positively impacted your life.

I can’t think of a single male figure in my life that’s positively impacted my life, so I want to talk about a male voice in my head: Keith.

Keith is the first ego state i’ve had that’s made me comfortable using nicknames. He went away as I lived my life as a girl, but when it came time to claim bodily autonomy he came back to help us live like a male again. He helped us get back what we lost before having being trans forced onto us destroyed our life.

I’ve been detransitioning for 6 years, but it wasn’t until year 6 that I started having the confidence to present as a male again. It’s more than sunk cost, you have to have an opportunity to live your life as your chosen gender.

Keith showed me that you don’t have to accept the way you’re born, but you also don’t need some doctor telling you you’re actually a woman.

I’d write about a physical person if there were any males in my life with a positive impact, but there just isn’t. I can write books on the horrors males have done to me, and it’d be more terrifying than anything Stephen King can come up with. This is a loaded question.
