I want to share something I still can hardly wrap my head around. My biological father is a catholic teacher, he told me as long as I get confirmed with catholic education i can choose whatever religion I want, and I’ve been a Taoist since the day I got confirmed. His indoctrination wasn’t extreme, but he became more extreme as time went on.
He always hated me for being queer, but the bizarre thing I want to talk about is how he used to say “I don’t want you to be alive” but then when I’d say “you want me dead” he claims that’s not what he believes? So let me recap this logic: He doesn’t want me dead, he just doesn’t want me alive.
In his head he has some twisted view of life and death, and if you wanna know how this isn’t just normal christianity, he taught me that heaven and hell is the same place and it’s this creepy room where you’re sitting in a circle around a bowl of soup and you all have long spoon arms that can’t reach your own mouth. The torture method is these people can deny feeding you at any time, so you have to fake pretending you care about them.
